First Division Gaines On Saturday Association football matches in Wellington on Saturday wore played in a high northerly, bur otherwise the conditions were good. Waterside are still unbeaten in the first division. Ihough they had only a 3-1 win over Railways. Two of the other "■aines in the Venus Shield competition were drawn. Marist v. Hospital and Technical Old Boys v. Comrades, but Mocra Stop Out beat Lower Hutt, 7-4. The day’s play had n:> affect on the positions of the teams on the championship table. Waterside 3, Railways 1. —For Waterside Walker (2) and Trainor scored, and for Railways Woods. I Technical Old Boys 2, Comrades 2.— Sergent scored both Technical Old Boys goals, and Comrades’ score consisted of a goal’by Mullins and a penalty goal. Moera Stop Out 7, Lower Hutt 4,—For Moera Stop Out Singer (3), Withers (2) and Drylie (2) scored, and for Lower Hutt Chandler (2), Preece and Hudson. Hospital 3. Marist 3.—lrvine scored all Marist’is goals. Marshall and Lawlor scored for Hospital and Todd kicked a penalty goal for them.
