In the building up of this herd the vendor spared no expense, the foundation was established by the purchase of the best of cows from the wellknown herds of Messrs. Masters and Croucher, of Sanson, and. since then herd sires from the well-known Waipiko and Ruapehu studs have been used extensively and their progeny have been used for l'eplacemeuts.
