NEW MAYOR OF ROME
LONDON, June 15. Prince Filippo Doria-Pamphili has been appointed mayor of Rome. The Rome correspondent of “The Times” comments that no better person could have been found for the post. Prince Doria-Pamphili is a man of independent character and great publie spirit. He is head of one of the great aristocratic Roman families. He suffered both material and moral persecution under the. Fascists because he declined to join the party.
