Representatives In Russia
(Received May 24, 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 24. Representatives of the Polish National Council from German-occupied Poland have arrived in Moscow after crossing the front line, and will establish contact with the United Nations, reports Moscow radio. “The council was formed in Warsaw on January 1 by the democratic parties and groups who are fighting against the German invaders,” the radio says. “The Polish people’s hopes in the emigre Government in London had been shattered by its acts, which played- into the hands of the invaders and jeopardized Poland’s relations with the Allies.
