Apparently anticipating defeat in the Balkans, the Germans are establishing defensive lines along, the Austro-Hungar-ian and Austro-Moravian frontier, where the civilian population is already being evacuated, says the “New York Tinies Berne correspondent. According to the “Journal De Geneve's.” Vienna correspondent, Austrians are convinced that the Germans are preparing to defend the Reich, on Austrian soil, the loss of which would deal a body blow to the remainder of the fortress of Europe,
