TRIBUTE TO MINISTER
LONDON, May 21. Tite telegram sent by General Franco to His Majesty regarding the death of Mr. Arthur Yencken, British Minister in Madrid, who was killed in an air crash, states: “Mr. Yencken’s personal qualities earned for him the warmest regard during his time in Spain.” The Madrid correspondent. of “The Timos” reports that a decree signed by General Fra non has been goz.etted, recording sorrow at the death of the Minister Plenipotentiary of Jiis Britannic Majesty and “bearing witness to the friendly sentiments toward the nation he so worthily represented.”
