W.D.F.U. Executive At Masterton A meeting of the Wairarapa executive of the W.D.F.U. took place in Masterton recently. The president, Mrs. K. Groves, was in the chair. She greeted the new delegates and those representing the new Taratahi branch which had opened in the Carterton district. The (“lowing districts were represented -Martinboroug . Featherston, Pahautea. Greytown, Carterton, Taratahi, Masterton, Mauriceville. ißangitumau, Tinui, Mangaone, Eketahuna. Mrs. Andrew gave a report on the division, housekeepers, and stated that at least one more permanent housekeeper could be employed. The secretary-treasurer gave her report and balance-sheet. , , , The election of oflkmrs resulted as follows tPresident, Mrs. K. proves, re-elect-ed ; recording secretary, Mrs. Maitland, re-elected: housekeepers secretary, Mrs. .). Andrew, re-elected; '9ee-presiden’-s. Mesdames James, Beu. Clark, Buichj c° m mittee. Mesdames James, convener. Boss, Hay. Pike. Misses Eager and Anderson, advisory board, Mesdames Beau and lldish; reporters, Mesdames Barrer, uouper, Janies and Jackson; delega.es to conference,. Mesdames Burch. and Andrew; co-ordination committee, president and secretary. Mesdames Barrer :iU Mvs. James proposed the hearty vote of thanks to Mrs. Groves for her work ajld the members presented her with a small <'ift Mrs Barrer moved that the council readopt a Chinese child. Mr. Brewerton gave an address.
