Tying Up Six Nazi Divisions LONDON, May 22. For the first time the Allied com-mander-in-chief in the Mediterranean theatre, General Alexander, has issued a communique dealing with the operations of the Italian patriot resistance movement behind the German lines. He states that this force, together with the Yugoslav Partisans in northeastern Italy, has caused so much trouble that the Germans have had to send to the north six out of their 25 divisions now in Italy, instead of using them against the Fifth and Eighth Armies. The communique gives details of the patriots’ operations, which include sabotage and attacks against the Germans and Italian Fascist forces. A correspondent reports that a communique from the Italian patriot move-, meat announces acts of sabotage, including the cutting of a railway hue in two places near Verona,' causing two derailments. and the destruction of 17 cars loaded with war material. Vehicles were destroyed with hand grenades near Lecco, where four patriots were killed, lhe industrial plant of Bellinzago Novarese, working for the Germans, was set on lire.
