Gratitude was expressed by members who feel hat their efforts are appreciated when they receive such pleasing recognition. Numerous gifts were also receivedl from local residents. Though the institute has a comparatively small membership, seven parcels are packed every mouth, two of them as the quota the institute's contribution to the Periotic Society, and five go to local men oier seas and arc much appreciated, judging from the letters of thanks received It was decided to forward one case of clothing to deserving northern Maoris this month and a second one later.
