Island Bay Beats Kia Ora
The Wellington Basketball Association’s championship matches were again played in beautiful weather on Saturday, when use was made for the first time of courts at Newtown School. Training College had again to default all Its matches, but it is hoped to see this club in action next Sat urday. In senior A a close well-fought game between Island Bay and Kia Ora was decided In the last few minutes. Island Bay emerging winners with a 3-poiut lead. .Wellington East, senior A, playing their first **amc this season, easily accounted for University. Wellington East remain undefeated in senior B, having beaten Technical College in a fast-moving game full of excitement. The,results are as tollows.- -— * i Senior A.—lsland Bay 20.
