HARBOUR COMMISSION
Hutt Valley Interest The Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce and industry intended to give evidence before the Unit Harbour Commission, said the president, Mr. C. H. Griffin, yesterday. The matter had closely engaged the chamber for some time and the major industrial and commercial concerns of the valley welcomed the setting-up of the commission. Recent industrial development trends and the formulating of post-war policies had convinced the chamber of the necessity for adequate town and regional planning and the economic handling of goods was an integral part of such considerations.
