NAVAL WEDDING

Burke—Moore

Shortly uftdr returning to New Zea-, land on’leave, after nearly four years service in the Fleet Air Arm, Lieut. (A) Peter Gerald Burke, younger sou ot Mrs. E Burke, Nelson, was married recently at San Antonio Church, Eastbourne, to Wren Mary Mona. (Paddy) Moore, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Moore, Eastbourne. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of embossed satin with lace yoke, and carried a sheaf of roses and carnations. Iler tulle veil, which had been beautifully worked by the Sisters of Mercy, was worn with the traditional orange blossom. Her only ornament was a cameo locket, seut by the bridegroom while in Canada. The bride was attended by her sisters. Wren Bunty and Miss Byllee Moore, and Wrens Jo Hutcheson and Noel Paulin, who struck an unusual note in their peasant frocks of floral and white, and carrying baskets of flowers. Lieut (A). Peter Picot was best man, Lieut. W. Mitchell. Pitot Officer Peter Holthouse and Sgt.Major Hugh Girdlestone were groomsmen. A friend of the bride, Mrs. Collins., sang “Panis Angelicas” during the signing ot thj register. Relatives and friends were received after the ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents, in Oroua Street, Eastbourne.
