British Town Suffers (Received May 15. 9.50 p.m.) LONDON, May 14. For nearly two hours today shells from British artillery whieh was overshooting targets on the Downs crashed into the Sussex market town of Steyniug, near Brighton, while wardens and police frantically tried to contact the gunners, says the “Daily Mail.” Two persons were killed, three wounded and property was damaged before the shelling ceased. One shell fell in the gasworks, but failed to explode. __________
