OBITUARY
Dr. William Newlands The death occurred at Dunedin yesterday afternoon of Dr. William Newlands. one of the best known medical men in the Dominion and till recently a member of the Medical Council of New Zealand, reports a Press Association telegram from Dunedin. He served on many public bodies, local as well as national, and set a fine example of good citizenship. He is survived by his wife and five members of his family. . . Dr. Newlands was born in 18 to and was educated at Otago Boys’ High School and Otago University, later studying at Edinburgh University. He had practised in Dunedin since 1905.
