Captain H. E. Price, chairman of the Waterfront Control Commission, is visiting Auckland. Mr. Harold Bowden, general manager for J. C. Williamson, Ltd., will be a visitor to Wellington today.

Mr 11. G. Darling, chairman of directors of the Broken Hill Proprietary Company, Limited, and M. Essingtou Lewis, chief general manager arrived- in Auckland by flying-boat from Sydney last Saturday on a business visit to New Zealand. Mr. Lewis is Director-General of .Munitions and of Aircraft Production in Australia. Mr. W. W. Mawhinney, manager for New Zealand of the Massey-Harris Co., Ltd., for the past six years, lias receipt'd notification of his promotion to the position of export sales manager of the Mas-sey-Harris Company, with headquarters at Toronto, Canada. Before returning to Canada, Mr. Mawhinney will make an extended tour of several of the company's export branches. Mr. Mawhinney will be succeeded as manager for New Zealand by Mr. C. Galbraith, previously supervisor of the British Columbia branch at Vancouver of the Massey-Harris organization.
