Reported Russian Plan
(Received May 13, 7.30 p.m.). - NEW YORK, May 13. Confidential reports from Moscow that Stalin plans to exact retribution for Nazi crimes which may shock the sensibilities of the western world, are partially confirmed by n Soviet Embassy bulletin, says the “New York Times” Washington correspondent. The bulletin reports that the Soviet investigating committee has ascertained that the Nazis have murdered, gassed, or tortured to death at least 2,000,000 people in.occupied Soviet districts. , ’ , , . The report cites documents captured at Gestapo headquarters in Kiev ordering a wholesale, but secret, extermination of prisoners of war and civilians. The Nazis responsible for the crimes include Major-General von Hindenburg, chief of the prisoners of war camp in East Prussia, Lieutenant-General Herrgot, chief of the prisoners’ camps in Poland. Those who will pay the penalty for the monstrous crimes include the personnel of the firing squads and operational squads in the prisoners’ camps.
