New Minister To U.S.A. (By Telegraph.—-Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 14.’ New Zealand’s Minister-designate at Washington, Mr. C- A. Berendsen, has returned to the Dominion from Australia, where for the past 14 months he has held the office of High Commissioner for New Zealand. Accompanied by Mrs. Berendsen, he arrived at Auckland by flyingboat from Sydney on Saturday, and left by air for Wellington today. Mr. Berendsen expects to spend a few weeks in New Zealand before leaving for Washington to replace Mr. Nash, who is returning to the Dominion.
