RELIGIOUS DRAMA SOCIETY
A Keligious Drama Society was formed at a gathering of representatives of the various churches in Wellington on Thursday night Mr. Francis Page presided over a large attendance. The objects of the society are to foster the use of drama as a medium for conveying the Christian view of life and religious truth for expressing worship. A provisional committee was elected to make arrangements for a production in September and to map out a programme for the first year. This committee will consider a constitution for the society and will submit this to a. meeting ou June 15. when the election of officers of the society will be held. .Pending' the report of the committee an initial subscription of 5/- was decided on. and several members were enrolled. The provisional committee is as follows: —Chairman, Mr. Francis Page; secretary, Miss Margaret Wainwright; treasurer. Mr. Peter Graham; joir.mittee, Mrs. Potter. Misses Helen Mitchell, Ngaire Thomson, the Rev. D. M. Hercus, Messrs. Harold Miller, Henry Kelly. J. V. Burton.
