Sentence For Attempted - Murder (By Telegraph.—Press Jlssociatiou.) PALMERSTON N.. May 12. • In the Supreme Court Mr. Justice Finlay Sentenced William Robert Alfred Hollis, aged 61, sheep-farm manager, of Pori, near Pahiatua, to seven years’ imprisonment With hard labour ou a charge of attempted murder of Godfrey Neville Green, on which accused Was found guilty last week. Hollis was also sentenced' to three years’ imprisonment with hard labour on a charge of unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under 16, the terms to be concurrent. His Honour, in referring to the attempted murder charge, said _ that prisoner was fortunate in not facing a more serious count.
