MANPOWER RAIDS

Widespread Activities In Auckland (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 11. Manpower raids extending over the widest; area yet attempted in Auckland in one <lav were carried out by officers from the National Service Department this afternoon. Directed against male absentees-and other industrial defaulters, the raids covered hotel bars and billiards saloons. About 100 men were interviewed. . , .
