The supports Include pictures of wartime activities In New Zealand and the islands. “We'll Smile Again’’ (Paramount).— Flanagan aud Alien at their best are hard to beat, and in this film .they are at the top of their form. The associate feature Is “Shadow of a Doubt,” starring Teresa Wright and Joseph Cotten. “Top Man” (De Luxe).—-An unusual mixture of comedy, song and swing, starring Donald O'Connor. Associate feature is “The Payoff,” with Lee Tracy, Tom Brown aud Tina Thayer in a tlirlll-a-minute murder mystery. Special children's matinees daily. Tomorrow: “Heart of the Golden West.” “Hit the Ice” (St. James).—The two comedy kings, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, have arrived in their latest and funniest film as aces on Ice, and with a brand new lot of mirthful gags. It will be a hilarious season, 1 “King Arthur Was a Gentleman” (State). -—Big-hearted Arthur Askey is in all kinds of trouble when lie joins the army, and is a great comedy success. , “The Youngest Profession” (Majestic).— Concluding a very successful season, this pleasure-packed comedy will be shown finally tomorrow. Also Walt Disney’s latest “Saludos Amigos," which introduces Disney’s old favourites in a new setting, plus Joe Carioca, the Brazilian jitterbird. “Pinocchio” (Tatier, Lyall Bay).—Presented in multiplane colour and set to music, Walt Disney's glorious story of the merry little man; also Laurel anl Hardy, the old laugh team, happily hlgbjinklng as “Air Raid Wardens.” Tomorrow: "Suspicion."
