Treatment Of American Nationals NEW YORK, May 8. The Japanese Government has declare! its readiness to dispatch a vessel to Vladivostock to pick up supplies from the United States for the relief of American prisoners of war and civilian internees, reports Tokio official radio. A definite plan for that purpose, has been communicated through the Swiss MinisteThe radio adds: “As the. result of. the most careful and detailed investigations concerning the charges by the United States, a reply was handed to- the Swiss Minister in Tokio on April 3 setting forth clearly how American nationals are actually treated by the Japanese and pointing out minutely errors and misunderstandings on the part of the United States. “The Japanese Government took occasion to draw attention to the unjust treatment accorded Japanese nationals by the American authorities enumerating concrete cases which have been reported by reliable authorities and demanding rectification of the position.”
