More than 750 Flying Fortresses and Liberators, in a total force of up to 2000 aircraft, carried out yesterday’s powerful attack against Berlin. It was one of Berlin’s heaviest daylight raids yet. The Germans are talking about the Allies “condemning the capital, to death.” Last night’s R.A.F. targets in France were near Rennes (Brittany), Nantes, Tours, and on the coast of biormandy. From all the night’s operations nine planes failed to return. There have been many other targets in Europe.
