Postal Facilities At Wadestown
Sir.—l note in “The Dominion” this morning that the authorities are considering a fire station for Wadestown. With nearly every house having a telephone, it is a simple matter to call a brigade from a short distance.. But it’s a different matter when one wants a stamp. Almost every house has someone in the services, and we women have to spend 6d. on tram fares to buy penny stamps, to say nothing of wasted time. There is plenty of room in the public library for the provision of postal services, and we only want part-time service, just for stamps and parcels. Other business could bo done in the city. —I am, etc., GRANDMA. Wadestown, May 6.
