RESIGNATION THREAT BY LABOUR LEADER
(Received May 7, 7 p.m.) LONDON. May 6. Mr. Arthur Greenwood is threatening to resign from the leadership of the Parliamentary Labour Party if disciplinary action is not taken against Mr. Aneurin Bevan, says the “Daily Mail’s” political correspondent. Should Mr, Greenwood, whose standing is high in the Labour Party, persist'in the threat there is a prospect of a real party split. [Mr. Bevan was claimed to be the leader of n group of Labour “rebels” who voted in the Commons against the Government's recent defence regulation to curb strike fomeliters. A meeting of tbe Parliamentary Labour Party which discussed his iiosition was adjourned without reaching a decision, 1
