Two Men Sent To Jail Alexander McCullough, seaman, aged 19, who pleaded- not guilty to a ■ charge of keeping intoxicating liquor for sale without being authorized to sell it,, was convicted and sentenced to 14 days’ imprisonment by Mr. Stout. S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court. Wellington, yesterday. Sergeant G. E. Callaghan said accused on Friday night attempted to sen a bottle labelled champagne eider lo some sailors in Willis Street. One of the sailors said be had paid 30/- for tlie bottle. Robert Bruce McKinlay. labourer, agca 44, who only came out of jail on Monday after serving a sentence ot 14 days for selling liquor without a licence, the same afternoon sold a bottle of wine to a serviceman for £l. and was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. Senior-Sergeant G. J. Paine conducted the prosecutions.
