Hutt River Control
Sir,—The thanks of all Hutt Valley property owners are due to Mr. Stellin and “Ratepayer” for having ventilated our grievances regarding Hie management of the Hutt River Board. I have lost several acres of most valuable land, to say nothing of chains of fencing. The only attempt at protection has been the planting of a few willows and a screen of willows interlaced with wire and anchored to some boulders and old logs. This was washed away in a few months. Over the years I have continuously appealed for some protection, but apart from the foregoing attempts it has not been forthcoming.—l am, etc., LONG SUFFERING. Belmont, October 17.
