Weilington Behind Other Main Centres Though there was some excitement among philatelists over the issue of the •'Princess” health stamps, issued to supplement the funds for the upkeep ot children’s health camps in New Zealand, it is staled that of tiie four main centres the returns from Wellington have been lowest on the list. In each ease the figures are for lhe city and the surrounding suburban area. Outside the four.main centres the best returns were from . liivercargill (£21)0 2/-) ; with Timarii (£264/14/6) and Wanganui (£242/10/41) ruimers-up. Blenheim came eighth on the list with £213/3/l(H. These were the only towns which sold over £2OO worth of stamps during the first week. Under that figure came Palmerston North, with £lB6/39/J. and Oainnrii £176/17/9. The total sales for the first week throughout Hie Dominion aniOunted to £5799/0/04, compared with £3986/11/84 for the corresponding period of last year.
