Empty Fruitcases.
Auckland greengrocers are now dis* playing prominent notices informing their customers that they are prohibited from selling empty cases. These have been in demand for a variety of purposes, even, over the past winter, for kindling wood, and the prohibition has been introduced for the sake of conserving existing supplies and so reducing demands for wood and manpower.
