11 SHIPS SUNK NEAR ELBA

(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, October 17. A naval communique states that on Thursday night British light craft opcrnling in the Piombino Channel, between Elba and the mainland, sank 11 enemy vessels.

On the same night British light craft which were active in the Adriatic were attacked by coast batteries on Mljet Isi land, but suffered no damage.
