RAIDERS OVER ENGLAND
RUGBY, October 17. There was slight enemy activity over Hie south coast of England early today, states a communique by Hie Air Ministry and Ministry of Home Security. A few bombs were dropped, causing a little damage, but no one was injured. One enemy aireiaft was destroyed by one of our fighters over the Channel. Observers'on the south coast say that strong forma lions of aircraft, passed over the coast of Folkestone district early this evening flying toward Hie French coast between Boulogne and Dieppe.
A heavy bomb wrecked Iwo houses in one London district during an enemy air-raid tonight. Several families were t rapped in Hie wreckage and numbers of persons were injure'’
