Generals Reported To Mean Business LONDON, October 15. Many of General Franco’s most powerful army officers have petitioned him for the restoration of the monarchy, says the “Daily Express.” The petitioners included General Saliquet, Military Governor of Aladrid, General Orgaz, High Commissioner for. Spanish Aiorocco, General Aloscardo, Aiilitary Governor of Catalonia, and General Kinderiin, Gov-enor-General of Alajorca. Three months ago General Franco dismissed 23 members of the Cortes for presenting a similar petition, but the “Daily Express” adds: “This time the generals seemingly mean business.” The Pretender to the Spanish Throne is Don Juan, the late King Alfonso’s youngest son, who is at present living in Switzerland.
