BRIGADIER’S CHARGE

Italian Treachery To British Prisoners ('Received -October 14, 10 p.m.) 'LONDON, October 13. The serious charge of Italian treachery against British prisoners is made in a letter from Brigadier R. G. Mountain, D. 5.0., who was removed -from a prisoners’ camp in Bologna to Germany three days before the Allies landed in Italy. "Writing to his father in England, "Mountain says: “The Italians definitely sold us. They never gave us a chance to get away.” The “(Daily Mail” states that relatives of the men concerned are pressing for a full Allied investigation. Official inquiries are already being made to establish the identity of Italian camp officials who stood by while this act of treachery was carried out. NOT AN EMPEROR (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, October 13. Replying to a question in the House of Commons today, the Minister of State, Mr. Law, said that, the titles of Emperor of Ethiopia and King of Albania were added to the title of the King of Italy in a recent decree. The King would in future be referred to as the King of Italy. The British Government naturally did not recognize him as Emperor of Ethiopia or King of Albania.
