The Germans, after demolishing the old harbour at Marseilles, are now removing all installations of value, says Algiers radio. They are spreading devastation in French Mediterranean ports. The radio, quoting official Vichy figures, says the total cost of the German occupation of France to March 31, 1943, was 540,700 million francs, which was £1,089,700,000 before the war.
