MILITARY DEFAULTERS
Charged with failing to obey a military order to parade in battlcdress, AVilliam Dennis Adin, soldier, was convicted and ordered to be detained in a defaulters camp by Mr. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday. Senior-Sergeant A. 11. Barnes said Adin had been called up for service on April 29, 19-11. An appeal on the ground of conscientious objection had been dismissed. He had already served a term of iniprisonmcnt for a breach of the regulations. John Finley Duff, soldier, was similarly dealt with for failing to parade, in ibattledress when ordered. Senior-Ser-geant Barnes said Duff had been called up in November, 1942. His appeal on the ground of conscientious objection bad been dismissed. He had served a term iu prison for a previous breach of the regulations.
