The New York Yankees won the baseball’s world championship by four games to one. Yankees won Monday’s match 2-0. Spud Chandler was the victorious pitcher, with Mort Cooper the losing pitcher for Cardinals. The scores were: Yankees, two runs, seven hits', one error; Cardinals, no runs, nine hits, one error.
