Pettit, Gisborne, is staying in Hastings as the guest of Mrs. W. Caseley. Mrs. 11. T. J. Thacker, Mrs. A. Keith Hadfield and Miss R. Wilkie will leave Christchurch ou October 18 for Wellington to attend a conference of delegates from free kindergartens. Lady Sidey, Dunedin, will also attend the conference.
