Miss Helen Smith, Fairlie, Canterbury, who left New Zealand some weeks ago? has arrived in England. Miss Smith, a Karitane nurse, accompanied .Mrs. Clouston, wife of Squadron Leader Clouston, who was returning to England with her small sou.
Mrs. H. J. Baruicoat, Dominion president of the N.Z. Women’s Institute, is about to leave Wellington for a. tour of tlie West Coast institutes. Mrs. I’. A. Pettit, Gisborne, is staying in Hastings as the guest of Mrs. W. Caseley. Mrs. 11. T. J. Thacker, Mrs. A. Keith Hadfield and Miss R. Wilkie will leave Christchurch ou October 18 for Wellington to attend a conference of delegates from free kindergartens. Lady Sidey, Dunedin, will also attend the conference.
