Dominion Special Service.
AUCKLAND, October 6. In the dwindling period of grace before the Land Sales Act becomes operative on . October 18, great numbers of Auckland owners are offering house properties and building sections for sale by private treaty and to a less extent by auction. More than a dozen auction sales are scheduled up to October 16, some of them with unusually long lists of properties to he submitted. Advertisements indicate that many trustees in deceased and other estates feel it a duty in the present circumstances to plane properties on the market in order not to neglect any possible chance of realizing upon them before the new Act comes into force; In a large number of cases, houses to be offered at auction on behalf of such clients are subject to existing tenancies, but many advertised for sale by treaty appear to be occupied by owners who. are prepared to give immediate possession. The number of sections offered is large, and all suburbs are represented.
