MUNITION STRIKE OFF
LONDON, October I. The strike of 8000 munition workers at Barrow has been sei I led. At a meeting this afternoon'the strikers agreed Io resume work. Their demand for a basic wage of £3/6/- a week, rejiliieing tile previous rale of £2/6/-, has been granted, mid negotiations will now take place for a modification in the piece-rate system.
