V.C. INVESTITURE
Prominent Guests Arrive For Hui
( By Telegraph Press AssocHi t Ion.) GISBORNE, October 4. Representative guests have been arriving since the weekend for the Victoria Cross investiture hui at Ruatoria ou Wednesday. The Governor-General, Sir Cyril Newall, and his daughter, Aliss Georgiana Newall, spent the weekend here.
Cabinet Ministers to attend the ceremony include Alessrs. Fraser, Jones, Parry and Mason, with Air. Tirikateno and the other Maori members of Parliament, and the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Holland. Other guests include the service chiefs. Lient.-General Puttiek and Air Vice-Marshal Isitt, and diplomatic and consular representatives.
