WEDDING

Jones—Vivian A quiet wedding was celebrated at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Petone, on Saturday, September 25, by the Rev. Father O’Donnell, of Irene Patricia, daughter of Mrs. M. Vivian, Petone, and the late Mr. W. Vivian, New Plymouth, and P.F.C. Bernie Paul Jones, eon of Mr. and Mrs. Jones, Missouri. The bride, who was escorted by Mr. J. McElligot, wore a frock of dusty pink flat crepe made with gored skirt, short sleeves and sash, the front of the corsage being finished with a large black floral motif. She wore a black felt halo hat and long black kid gloves with black accessories. Her shoulder-spray was of tulips and cyclamen iu pink and blue tones. The inatron-of-bonour was Mrs. Nancy Farrell, a cousin of the bride. Her twopiece suit of ice blue flat crepe was braided on the lapels and pockets and she wore black accessories with a black halo hat. Her spray was of gold'and blue flowers. Mr. Chester, James. U.S.M.C., was best man. _ Miss . Joyce McClusky presented the bride with a lucky horseshoe. A reception was held at the lionie ot the bride’s mother, Mrs. Vivian receiving the guests wearing a figured black and white marocain frock, with a black hat and tailored coat. The bride travelled in a jade green tailored coat, black frock, hat aud accessories.
