Removal Of Station Not Contemplated

Dominion Special Service. PALMERSTON N., October 2. Concerning the Canterbury manufacturers’ request to have a seed-testing station removed from Palmerston North to Canterbury, Mr. .Hodgens, M.P. for Palmerston North, telegraphed to the Prime Minister asking him to leave matters unchanged till seen by Mr. Hodgens. Mr. Fraser replied that the, question of a transfer had not at any time been considered and removal of the station was not contemplated.

CIVIL AVIATION TALKS (Received October 3. 11.20 p.m.) LONDON, October 2. Invitations for the Empire conference on post-war civil aviation have been sent to the Dominion Governments, says the “Sunday Times.” It is proposed to hold the conference in London next year. The date will be fixed to meet the general convenience.
