Despite the bad weather the Scottish Harrier Club held a special 2J-mile handicap al. : Miramar on Saturday. Results were; —I. A. Simpson (Kongotai College). J ; R. Disney. 2; D. J. Newton, 3. Fastest time: Disney, 16.30. The junior event resulted: A. Day, 1; B. Jenkins, 2; P. Tulloch, 3. Competitors in the women’s event were so covered with mud that the judges had trouble in distinguishing between the runners. They awarded first place to Mj sa Keeble, with Miss Johnsen second and Miss Buckiuaster third. . . , The secondary and primary schools cross-country championships and the barrier clubs’ field day were postponed because of the weather. They will be held at Miramar next Saturday.
