Lieut.-General Arnold, Chief, of the United States Air Force, interviewed in Seattle, said that by the end of the year the Allies would have at least a three to one air superiority over Germany, and possibly four to one. He added a caution: “We still have a long and hard row ahead. The Germans are tough and won’t quit. After we are through with them we still have a job to do in the Pacific,”
