At a larewell gathering yesterday Mr. J. S. Hunter, Director ot 'National Service, in milking a presentation on behalf of the executive (dlicers of the depni'lnient Io Colonel Ciochetto, paid a high tribute to tlie energy amt ellicieney which he had combined witn a winning personality. YY ith the present appreciation of tlie war position it would not be necessary to fill the commissioners place in Wellington.
