Pleading guilty to obtaining money from Mrs." Margaret M. Pattullo. widow, Christchurch, bv false pretences, Ethel Eleanor Ray. aged 38. domestic, for whom Mr. A ,J. Evidence was given by Mrs. Pattullo that she had sent sums of money totalling £425 to Wellington from Christchurch by money-order telegram to accused who. purporting to be a triend, telephoned from Wellington asking for the money tor the purchase of a section.
