After three postponements because of bad weather, the director of parks and preserves, Air. J. G. AlncKcnzie, has arranged to give the AVellington City Council's demonstration of vegetable seed-planting in the Kent Terrace reserve between 12.30 and 1.30 p.m. today. Air. AlaeKenzie says that he has arranged also for a rather more extensive demonstration of seed-planting' for Saturday in the Botanical Gardens, so that people of the northern and western districts may benefit, by instruction. In addition to the sowing of vegetable- seeds, pricking out of shoots (raised in boxes) will be done; and, further still, a demonstration of compost-building will be given, so that all tnav learn the best method of creating the "most valuable form of garden dressing.
