Pearson —Trewern

A quiet, wedding took place at St. James’s Church, Lower Hutt, recently, when Margaret Joan, only child of Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Trewern, was married to Lieut. Richard Humphreys Pearson, U.S.M.C.R., son of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Pearson, U.S.A. T’he Rev. U.S. J. Kenney, Petone, officiated. The service was fully choral. 'The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a frock of heavy powder blue crepe de chine imjde with a heart-shaped neckline, three-quarter sleeves, the self braiding on the shoulders coming to a V at the back which was finished with buttons. The corsage, plain in front, was finished at the sides with impressed pleats. On both sides of the skirt was pocket-shaped braiding witii impressed pleats in front and the skirt was finished with :t. narrow sash of the same material. Felt, flowers were massed in front of the toning felt skull cap, which had veiling of the same shade. The shower bouquet was of pink carnations, cyclamen, and maidenhair. Attending the bride was Miss Delya Walker. M'ellington, who wore a. frock of dusky pink heavy crepe de chine with a heart-shaped neckline, three-quarter sleeves and gathered at the hips. Prussian braiding defined the corsage. Felt flowers and a brown veil finished her toning felt hat and she carried deep pink cyclamen with fuchsia shaded flowers and maidenhair. A reception was held at. the home of tlie bride’s parents in Oxford Tevyace. Mrs. Trewern received the guests wearing a black afghaline frock with gold and green embroidered bodice and a black bon ter hat. Her shoulder spray was of golden freesias. j When Lieut, and Mrs. Pearson left for their honeymoon in the South, the bride wore a forest green frock with diagonal Italian pleating on the corsage under a coney 7 fur coat. Her hat of coney fur and "felt was finished in front with a felt bow.
