BUFFET TEA AT THE VICTORIA LEAGUE

Disabled Soldier Guests

A large party of disabled 2nd N.Z.EA'. servicemen were entertained by the Victoria League in Wellington last night at a buffet tea and concert in the league rooms. Six uniformed members of the Red Cross Transport Section gave efficient service, conveying the guests, several of whom were World War soldiers, from the hospitals, and taking them home again in special ears. The men were received by the president Mrs. J. A. Doctor, and the convener Mrs. A. McKinnon. A musical programme followed the hot tea served at the long tables in the lounge, vyhere colourful flowers set in narrow troughs of amber and green made decoratne ecu tre-pieccs. . , Attractive items were given by the Victoria League concert party, assisted bv Ml’S. Cronin. The flowers, mauve and cream polyanthus and wall bowls o pink rhododendrons, were* the girt- ot Mesdnmes D. Logie and A, Dunean.
