MEETING TO AID LEPER STATION SISTERS
There is probably no body of women workers who are entitled to more respect and admiration in New Zealand than the Leper Sisters of Makogai; brave women who attend to the lepers of the South Pacific year in and out, and seek no recompense for their . self-sacrificing labours. This work, carried on year after year with a minimum publicity, needs recruits from time to time. These are trained in Wellington, -before taking station in the islands. This training school also serves as a rest and health-recruiting home for tlie Sisters, on furlough from the islands. A street day to raise funds for this deserving charity has been arranged for December 2. A meeting of helpers' and well-wishers to make arrangements for that occasion is to be held" in fit. Patrick’s College tomorrow night.
